The process of Contaminated Site Management includes a sequence of stages that have the objective of minimizing risks to the population and the environment arising from an environmental impact.
CGAgeo activities cover all stages in the Contaminated Site Management process, with the objective of characterizing the impact and intervening in such a way as to ensure that the site in question is suitable for its current or future use. Our projects have specific objectives, with a view to ensuring the best possible management approach for finalizing the whole process, i.e., the project has a beginning, middle and end.
All CGAgeo environmental investigation and recovery activities are performed in compliance with national and international laws, resolutions and standards, established by such agencies as the “Ministério do Meio Ambiente - MMA” (Ministry for the Environment), “Companhia Ambiental do Estado de São Paulo - CETESB” (State of São Paulo Environmental Agency), the São Paulo State Government, the “Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas - ABNT” (Brazilian Technical Standards Association), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S.EPA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), among others.
